Tangerine Dream Live at the Mozartsaal, Mannheim 1982-11-10 great quality master (first time in circulation) mp3 samples Short form: Even if you haven't heard this band, you need to hear this concert! I have finally received permission to release this great master recording of the legendary German band Tangerine Dream. It was taped by Mr.(Herr) Peter D. utilizing a professional Uher field recorder and undocumented professional microphones. At times this recording sounds like a soundboard. Although not quite complete, you have almost the entire concert to listen to. This tape represents the band in peak form during one of their most popular periods. It's also an uncirculated master. If you are unfamiliar with their music, this is a great place to start. I highly recommend this to lovers of electronic prog music. IMO during this time period Tangerine Dream were beginning to move away from straight electronica into more melodious forms of rhythm. The music floats in and out from one program to another, and is at times darkly soaring, at times danceable, but is always compelling. I need your help with a setlist! I think I recognise rhythms from Logos or from the Ranier Werner Fassbinder Memorial concert, but I am really not sure. These cdr's are somewhat tracked, but I think the long first tracks of each set need to be further documented. The track list is based upon when the band paused for applause. I believe from listening to this show that the individual parts of the longer tracks were sequenced to be played in this manner as one piece consisting of several different movements. Setlist: CD1 01) 38:37 02) 3:12 CD2 01) 46:45 02) 2:00 03) 3:54 04) 4:36 05) 5:16 Lineage: Uher recorder with unknown prof mikes ->2x BASF Chrom Dioxid 90's ->Tascam 112MkII Prof ->Echo Layla 3G ->Sound Forge 6.0 ->Maxell Cd-rPRO's ->FLAC via Nero Enjoy!
